Code of Conduct
As a Head Coach/Assistant Coach, do hereby agree to the following Coaches Code of Conduct to insure a positive environment for all youth and adult members of TCSA:
- I will promote good sportsmanship through leading by example and being supportive of all TCSA participants, coaches, league and game officials at all games and practices.
- I will not personally address game officials unless done so in an official protest as stated in the ASA/Ground Rules.
- I will not address any TCSA spectators or parents on opposing teams.
- I will address any concerns privately with my player’s parent, league officials, and TCSA Directors. Not in an open forum involving the children.
- I will refrain from making negative statements or using profanity at all TCSA activities and facilities.
- I will ask my players to treat all participants, coaches, spectators, league and game officials in a good sportsmanlike and respectful manner, regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
- I will (in conjunction with TCSA) promote a drug, tobacco and alcohol free environment by refraining from their use at organization activities and facilities.
- I will place the emotional and physical well being of my players ahead of any personal desire to win.
- I will be responsible for all equipment assigned to me by TCSA.
- I will agree to abide by all TCSA Bylaws, and Ground Rules, as well all ASA rules.
I have read and understand the above statements and I agree to follow them to the best of my abilities with the understanding that any violation of this contract may result in disciplinary action that will be documented and handled by: (not limited to but may include) The Colony Police Department, and/or an appointed TCSA Coaches/Players Committee. Depending on the nature of the violation, one (1) or more of the following penalties may be given:
- A written reprimand or warning.
- One (1) game suspension or more, which is dependent on the infraction.
- Season Suspension.
- Permanent removal from coaching with TCSA.
